Sipping on a Moscato Gimlet
April, 2013 · By Coryanne Ettiene
For some, it is all about keeping up with the Jones’s, for me it is about keeping up with tradition…. I love everything about tradition and annual celebrations, even more so when they come with the promise of simplicity. That is why I am have joined the team at Gallo Family Vineyards to celebrate the 2nd annual Moscato Day celebration with a few friends and a lucky dose of Washington sunshine. When I helped Gallo Family Vineyards celebrate Moscato Day last year, my wine rested in ice bins and swished in tall stem glasses. This year, the Moscato graced my favorite cocktail glasses and hosted my new ‘goto’ wine cocktail, the Moscato Gimlet.
The Moscato Gimlet (recipe courtesy of Gallo Family Vineyards)
- 3 Ounces of Gallo Family Vineyards Moscato
- 1 Ounce of Fresh Lime Juice
- 1/2 Ounce of Agave Nectar
Combine all the ingredients into a cocktail shaker. Shake and then strain into a glass before garnishing with a lime. Yeilds one cocktail.
